Beast of Bodmin update

Hiya🥰

I’ve updated Chapter 30 with the rest of Phin’s part, rather than post it separately. The three parts grew too unwieldy to rewrite/edit all at once, but left plenty of Phin to update with.

  1. Ah, your descriptions are so gorgeous –
“Radiant with wrecker’s lantern allure.” …
“His words were vermillion velvet, his breath as rich as port wine” …
“the amber musk of Jake’s scent” and the this bit –
“lying in a woodland glade on a cushion of soft moss and rich earth, rather than a bed.” I love how it brings the Jackal into the bedroom, the essence of the wild nature (which is, I guess, really in all of us anyway) into the controlled/urbanised one in a very subtle way, it’s beautiful.
And THIS gorgeous summing up of Jake’s whole problem so sweetly and completely: “a need so intense it was crimson fire underscored with violet, as vivid as it was violent. But only in the very best of ways. A distinction Jake hadn’t been able to do recognising.”
And then Phin, ah Phin being utterly marvellously Phin again (chuckles)
“Why would anyone do going to buy a pot-plant, when they could be in bed doing this, instead? Nutters. Phin wanted Jack to stay inside him forever—or, at the very least—every day and night for the rest of forever. See? He could do compromising….
Ah well, what a way to go…”

But I have to say I’m wondering, now the deed’s been done… does this mean what I think it means for Phin… hm, will have to wait and see!

    1. ❤️Oh thank you! ❤️ I’m so so happy you enjoyed it. I was worried after such a long wait that it would all go horribly wrong/be a huge anticlimax. I doubt I’ve ever got past ch 10 without a sex scene before and this story waffled on forever first😳 I’m lucky that anyone’s left to read it!😊

Oh that’s luscious…thank you. Your words are more beautiful than the line you quoted! 🥰

      1. Bless you, it doesn’t waffle on at all – instead it ensures we really know and care about the characters, it builds tension and suspense, it makes us really feel the frustration and the need, to want/to wait/to want and then the relief and release for the characters at the end is what the reader is feeling too by that point, it’s beautifully done!

      2. Aw…thank you! If it did any those things – let alone all – then I’m chuffed t’bits🥰
